Ben was in his normal happy go lucky mood walking down the hall to leave school for the weekend and go meet up with his step dad. That was until he ran into someone who was walking backwards. "Pardon me partner." He said as his southern accent came out much stronger then he would have liked.

"Pardon who?" Ivy turned around and raised a brow at the guy she just ran over. She wasn't really paying attention to where she was going and somewhere somehow, she starting walking backwards just for the heck of it.

"Pardon me partner. It's like sayin' excuse me, but where I come it's easier ta say pardon me partner. Or would you like little lady better?" Ben said not really know how to deal with a situation.

"Uh, er...It's fine." Ivy muttered, kind of put off by the accent at first but getting used it after some time. In fact, she actually found accents cool and his was no exception. But she wouldn't get caught dead admitting that. It wasn't her style and everyone was watching.

"Just watch where you're going next time." She knew she should be the one following her own advice. She was walking backwards after all.

Ben lightly tilted his head and lightly smiled. "Well little lady, I'll keep that in mind." He said to her with his charming smile as he could feel others staring at them. He just shook his head and then looked back at the girl infront of him.

"Right, howdy I'm Ben. What's yer name little lady?" He introduced himself sticking out a hand for her to shake.

"It's Ivy." Ivy looked down at his hand and then at him, frowning. If he had brains, he'd realize that Ivy wasn't a hand shaker. Her leave me alone vibe certainly did the trick for most people but it didn't seem to catch up to this one.

"Nice ta meet ya' Ivy." Ben said as he put his hand back down to his side. "Yer not ta friendly with others, are ya'......but then again dat would explain yer loving and yet charmin' vibe yer putting out." He said with a joke knowing all to well how to handle a girl like her. "Ya' know, ya' aint dat hard ta read little lady." Ben said as he slowly started to walk away, hoping that she would stop him out of ceriousity.

"Wait, what?" Ive was a little shocked cause he almost hit the money mark. Well, almost. She sprinted off the rest of the way and caught his arm, twisting him around to face her. "I do not put out that loving and charming crap." She sounded defensive even though what he said was a compliment.

She was just a little annoyed at how he dissected her actions so easily.

Ben hid a laugh as he was forced to face Ivy. "Well its just dat where I come from everyone's fairly friendly.....'nd a lot of the girls back home always sent out the same vibe ya' are. But somehow deep down inside ya' I know yet a good, kind, carin' person." Ben explained as he pointed to her heart, true he meet some not so nice people back home, but somehow he still managed to be 50/50 on things like this. And besides, he loved getting to know new people.

"I'm not a softie, okay? And if I was, I'm definitely not spreading the love anytime soon." Ivy huffed, getting perturbed at the turn of events. She kicked her boots off and stretched her feet, before grimacing. "I seriously hate heels."

"Right, yer aint a softie, I get it. 'Nd why not....if ya' were a softie dat is." Ben watched the action and couldn't help but laugh. "If ya' hate heels, then why are ya' wearin' 'em?" He asked not really understanding why girls would make themsleves suffer just to look nice.
