Kat walked through the aisles of the library looking for a photography book. She saw some books that she was very found of, like fantasy, mystery, romance, horror. Kat found a book that was fantasy based, but it also had mystery and horror. She read the back of the book and after reading the first paragraph, she moved on to the first chapter.

"And what's your name beautiful?" Alex asked the girl he had always had cofidence. But flirting with a Sophmore was probably way out of his league. But Alex had come to Stellar for sport and so he wasn't exactly the smartest apple in the pack. But he would always be the confident one. The apple that would fall of the tree any time it wanted too instead of waiting for the right time.

Katharina lightly jumped at the sudden voice, she turned to look the person who was talking to her only to find that he looked younger then she did. "My name is Katharina Sten. And what is your name?" She inquried holding her palce in the book and then sticking out her right hand for him to shake, even though she wasn't use to the nickname, it do not bother her at all.

"I'm Alex. Alex Williams. And you can call me anytime you want." He grinned. I think she likes me. He thought to himself. Well of course she does. I'm me. He said feeling like he had a war going on in his head.

"So, Alex. What brings you to the library?" Kat asked with a warming smile as she lightly tilted her head to the side. She took a quite look at the current book she had in her hands and remembered the page number, putting it back in it's rightful place she turned around to Alex and smiled again. Kat was always a friendly person, and always had a smile for others, putting a hand in her pocket she remembered she had her protable camera with her, as always she never left her room without a camera.

"Alex? What sort of book do you like to read?" She asked as she lightly shifted weight from one foot to the other.

"Mostly Romantic ones. But I can always go for the action packed thriller where the girl and boy run away with eachother." He said winking. He didn't really read these. In fact he barely read at all. The only books he did read were the tips and tricks books for Soccer that and autobiographis done by players. But Katrina didn't need to know that.
"So can I call you Kat of are you a full name kind of girl." Alex said smiling.

Kat lightly giggled at the wink and nodded. "So you are....how you say...a hopeless romantic?" She asked remembering the term from when she went to school for the first time. "Oh, Kat is fine." She told him with another smile. "So, Alex..what is it you are here for.....at the school I mean?" Kat said with a slight blush.

"I play Soccer. My parents don't think I should spread it but I'm not exactly the fastest learner," he said smiling,"what about you? What are you here for?"
Nice girl. He thought to himself.

"Ah a soccer player. I am a..." Kat pulled out her camera and snapped off a photo of Alex. "Photographer." She finished with a smile, suprise photos were always the best, but she always felt like it rude to just take photos of someone with out asking first. "Not.....a fast learner???" She repeated to herself, it took her a moment to understand what it meant. "This is so difficult." Kat mubbled to herself.

"Just make sure that photo doesn't make it to the school paper," Alex said smiling,"and next time I'll be posing for you in my Soccer gear." He said winking.

Kat slightly raised and eyebrow and then laughed, she wondered if all american guys were like him. "Right." She said with a nod and a smile Kat then tilited her head to the right and asked. "You do know that I am not....from here?" The fun part of life making friends, the bad part knowing weather or not they'll accpet an outsider.

"Neither am I. I'm an Aussie surfer." He said doing the actions of surfing. "But anyone from anywhere would never not like you." He winked.

"An....Aussie? Forgive me but I do not know that term." She said putting her camera back in her pocket. "Wait if you are a surfer, why do you play soccer?" Kat questioned not really understanding the two, she gave a light smile at Alex for what he last said, after all it always did seem like everyone loved her for just being her even if she was a klutz at times.

"I come from Australia. So I'm an Aussie. And I can play more than just what the rest of the country loves. And Soccer is a hobby of mine." He winked. People never understood him.

Kat nodded in understandment. "Please forgive me for not knowing what an Aussie meant." She said again with a sheepish look on her face. "Oh, if you do not mind I would like to take some photos of you while you are playing." She asked with some timidness in her voice.

"Sure. But I'm only midfieler so the only really exciting thing that happens is me passing to a striker who scores." He explained. Soccer was the only thing he knew lots about.

Kat loved to learn about new things, but was a complete and totally idiot when it came to sports even the most simplist ones like motorcross. "Right." She said as her voice gave her away while her emotion said that she understood everything he was telling her, sure she was really smart but she always had a thing for learning by touch not by seeing or hearing or even speaking. Yep she sure was an odd one from her family, then her eyes lit up thinking of a new question. "Why did you move to American?"

"New oppurtunity." He shrugged.

"Ahh, okay." She somewhat understood his answer. "So what prytell brings you to the library?" She asked as she ran a finger over the binding of some of the books to ther left which were labled 'mysteries' an row she really shouldn't be down.

"I'm sorry but I don't know what prytell means." Alex said genuinly confused.

"Sorry I ment praytell." Kat gave a nervous laugh, what she wouldn't do for a dictionary..duh she's a library. Kat lightly laughed at herself for not realizing it. "In other words would you please tell me what you are doing here in the library?" She asked with a cutesy smile.

"Doing whatever people do in a library." He said casually. He had actually come for chicks that might be studying but so what.

"Right, well you do know that the romance books are down a few more rows." Kat said pointing to her left. "Alex may I ask a question. Would you like to become my friend?" Kat asked as she lightly tilited her head to the side in question with a caring smile.

"'Course I would." He said smiling.

Kat gave a huge smile and without thinking she hugged Alex and then let go. "Sorry about that it is just that I am so very happy to have yet another friend in a different filed of study." She said while blushing a tad bit but she mangaed to smile again.
