Katharina came out of the girls changing room with her hair down as always, a lose fitted tank top and her favorite blue shorts on. She may not have been one for swimming but she always loved the feel of water, Katharina walked to the edge of the deepest part of the pool, sat down and stuck her legs in. She then pulled a book from her bag, as she lightly kicked her legs in the water she started to read.

"Hey" Alex said popping up from underneath the water. "What ya reading?" He asked Kat.

Kat screamed as she jumped holding her book to her chest, after seeing that it was Alex she clamed down putting a hand over her heart as though she was holding it. "Hello Alex....how are you?" She asked as her mind considered yelling at him for not showing himself earlier or realize that it was her own fault for not noticing.
Kat looked at her book she was clutching onto for dear life with one hand. "It's called A Bite to Remember its one of my favorite books, I've read this book about three times now. This shall be my fourth time reading it." Kat said as kindly and calmly as she could, she always was a hot head and didn't take to kindly to being scared even if it was by accident.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you." He said chuckling.

Kat gave a light sigh. "It is alright, I shall be fine." She glared at him, using her leg she kicked water at him. "Scaring others is no laughing matter." She said as she puffed up her checks in an almot angery look.

"I know. I know. It's just....you shouldv'e seen your face." He laughed trying to hold his breath to stop it.

Kats eye slightly twichted as she stood up and started to walk to the girls changing room. "Honestly, are all American men like this?" She asked herself walking back to where she was sitting as she forgot her book.

"You know I'm not american right?" He asked Kat as he heard her ask herself if all americans were like this.

Kat lightly blushed at his corretion as she cursed at herself for forgetting Alex was an Aussie as he put it, Kat turned around to say something only to take a wrong step and go falling into the pool with a short yell as she was cosumed by the surrounding water. There was a reason Kat never went swimming and it's only one simple reason, she can't swim her whole life niether of her parents had taken the time to teacher how to swim as Kat loved the water. Her book went flying in some direction as she let her weight pull her to the bottom of the pool, she knew it was her own fault for not watching her step. Once Kat hit the bottom she tried to push off of it, when she put weight down on her feet she let out a short cry of pain before closing her mouth and putting both hands over her mouth.

My ankle...it hurts, why. I must have twisted it somehow...maybe when I fell in. Kat thought to herself as she looked up at Alex hoping he would soon find out that she wasn't playing some curl joke on him.

Alex laughed thinking Kat was pulling a joke on him as she fell in. He put his head into the water to see her give the thumbs up only to find Kat was struggling to breath. Alex quickly dived down to Kat as he tried to pick her up and take her to the surface. He took in some water and dropped Kat. As he went back up to get a breath he only then realised that Kat would drown. So he sped back down under the water. Hoping it wasn't too late to save her.

Kat understood what was going around her as she tried to keep what little air she had left insider of her the last thing she wanted happing was her going to the hospital or getting cpr.....she shook her head to herself which was one of her worse ideas yet as she lost what little air she had. When all was said and done she really owed Alex her life.

As Alex rushed back underwater he saw Kat go limp. He quickly rushed down and grabbed the limp body as he pushed of the floor. When he reached the surface he put her on the side of the pool and started pushing on her stomach. Trying to get the water out.

Kat felt her body being laied on a hard surface and figured she was safe...well until she realised that their were hands on her stomach and her body wasn't listening to her at all. Now I remember why I hate coming near water, and my ankle still hurts...okay body wake up, move something anything.....tap a finger! She yelled at her body as her eyes slowly started to open and she coughed up some water.

"Thank God." Alex said closing his eyes as he muttered a prayer to god. "Your alive! I thought I would have to try the kiss of life." He said. Smiling with comfort.

Kat looked at Alex and gave a confused look she then was thankful for her mother for buying her a black tank top, she then slowly sat up making sure she hadn't hurt herself anymore then so. "What is.....the kiss of life?" She asked as she lightly blushed, Kat went to swing her legs back over the edge of the pool when a sharp pain shot though her left leg, in a instant Kat was hugging her leg to her body to try and stop the pain.

"Nevermind the kiss of life. How's your ankle?" Alex asked Kat. "Here let me take a look." He said slowly pulling her leg away from her grip.

Even in the state of pain she was calm and didn't fight with Alex, being a surffer he must have broken, and dislocated a lot of bones. Kat lightly winced as she held her right knee to her chest as she rested her chin on it and watched him. "Thank you...and I'm sorry." Kat said innocentally and sadly, this is why she was called a klutz in her last school.

"It's fine. Really." Alex said inspecting her leg. "Ouch. Looks like you might have to get an x-ray done." He said inspecting the other side.

Kat groned to herself, that was the last thing she wanted to hear going to the hospital meant seeing doctors...with needles...and those masks. Kat fell back on her back softly. "Bármi, kivéve, hogy az utolsó helyet szeretné, kérjük menjen a kórház de ez." Kat said as she gave had a fit about going.



(Anything but that, that's the last place I want to go please anything but the hospital)

"I'm sorry. What?" He asked Kat in confusion. "Are you feeling OK?" He asked.

Kat looked up at him and forgot she spoke in hungarian. "Please forgive me, I just really do not like going to a hospital at all. And this normally would never happene to me, this is my fualt. I should have been more careful, I am very sorry Alex for becoming a burden to you. But thank you again for saving me." Kat said as she sat up and kissed his check then smiled.

"No problem." He said blushing at the kiss. "And if what I'm seeing is right you may not have to go to the docters." He said.

Kat gave a light laugh as Alex blushed and lightly tilted her head to the side, the pain was dieing down and she saw it swelling up, so she put her foot into the pool water hoping it would help some. "Thank you again, Alex if I may. Can I call you Ally?"

"Uh. Sure." Alex said. He had been called Ali at his old school. Except they were just spelt different.

Kat gave him her cutiesy little smile and then her face went pale as she remembered something looking out to the pool she saw her book floating with the spine faceing up. "My book." Kat said sadly, she had like three of all her books and this one is no different, but still it pained her see a book go this way.
