Reed face showed disappointment but then he smirked wider and tilted her face up with his thumb brushed across her jaw, "Happy of course that I could be so close to a girl like you." he said honestly too and he's happy that he could make her said something that he thinks she truly feels it even if he annoyed her. That could be fixed as time went by.

Ivy bit back a sly retort and she averted her eyes before she could get lost any further. He was just playing with. She was so sure of it. She knew she was the kind of girl who put up a strong font but was easy to manipulate once her defenses were down.

"What makes you think I should believe you?" She caught his gaze once more. "You're just as good in acting as I am--maybe even better."

Reed didn't even fake his crooked smile, it was inevitable when he caught her glances and knew she was considering him. "Because I play fair. I said it, didn't I? no more acting, no fake face.. no more lies." he never took his eyes away from her.

"I understand that you heard lots of rumor about me. But think this, the guy is in front of you while rumor is just rumor, opinions, you can't be so sure it's facts." he run his hand through his hair with annoyed look because he couldn't understand why she keeps persisting that he's the top bastard in her blacklist when he kindly helped her all this time.

Despite Ivy's efforts, she still turned towards him and she caught the annoyed look he gave her and it was her turn to give him her own smug smile. "You might be wondering why I think you're such douche, aren't you? Well..." She clipped her converse's heel on the floor and ducked from his line of vision so that she was walking away from him.

"Keep on guessing, Cross!" She had to get away while she still had the chance.

Reed was surprised that she suddenly run away from him. He knew there's something she didn't tell to him and couldn't believe she's shy away like that. Well it couldn't be helped since she's a girl. Of course if she have feelings, she wouldn't tell it to him. And he doubted that feeling toward him is a good thing when they always teasing and fight with each other.

"I'll get you next time Rodriguez!" he promised.

"You can try!" Ivy called over her shoulder just as she disappeared through the corner.
